Schools you attended: I attended Desert High at Edwards AFB until my senior year when my dad retired from the Air Force. After high school, I went out to AVC for two years. I didn’t take it seriously though and basically just went out to find a husband and have fun. My parents didn’t even want me to go there. That was back in the ’60’s – a bit different than now.

Profession: I was a housewife and mother until I divorced in 1973. I went to work as an advertising coordinator for a large corporation. I then went into real estate for 15 yrs. but found out I liked designing the advertising materials more. I opened up my graphic design studio in 1987 (SCRIBBLES, ink Design Studio) and have been doing that ever since. Everything is now done on computer – and web design has been added.

Married info: Marriage was nice, but so is being single.

Children: I had three sons. Scott is an attorney in Lancaster, Heath runs a feed store with his dad in Quartz Hill and Garner went to heaven when he was almost 15 and now skateboards on clouds.

Grandchildren: Four grandsons and one granddaughter.

Hobbies: When I’m not working on the computer, I’m playing on it. I just finished building my first computer from scratch. I enjoy gardening and am finally learning to cook and unfortunately – I also like eating whatever I cook.

Pets: My life has gone to the dogs and my two dogs are my very best friends. I have a Rottweiler – LuLu – and a Bullmastiff (photo above) named Baby.

What is your favorite memory of AVHS? I was only at AV for one year but Senior Ditch Day was really fun w/Jodie Mason, Ed Lombardi and Roque Lafferty.

If you could change anything about High School what would it be? I would have changed me and not been so shy and insecure. And I probably would have studied more.

What are your plans for the immediate future? Just getting by.

As you look back on your life, what do you think was your most outstanding accomplishment? I don’t think I’ve done it yet. sigh.
